EVEREST NORTH COL (TIBET) 7000MTrip Overview

This is an opportunity to climb up to 7000m on Mt Everest, the highest mountain in the world! This side first climbed in 2001. This trip will suit someone who has some previous climbing experience and is fit and very determined. Not only is this a fantastic experience in itself but would also be a good reconnaissance for someone with ambitions to climb Everest at a later date. The a fair number of climbers on expeditions to this side of Everest do not get far above the north col having underestimated the difficulties involved, so this is a perfect opportunity to see how you perform at altitude for a more reasonable price!
 

ITINERARY

 Day 1 Arrive in Kathmandu
 Day 2 Preparation day (visas etc), sightseeing
 Day 3 Preparation day (visas etc), sightseeing
 Day 4 Drive to Zhangmu in Tibet
 Day 5 Drive to Nyalam (3,750m)
 Day 6 Acclimatisation day, walks in the surrounding hills
 Day 7 Drive to Tingri (4,340m)
 Day 8 Acclimatisation day, walks in the surrounding hills
 Day 9 Drive to Everest base camp
 Day 10 - 11 Acclimatisation days
 Day 12 Day hikes around base camp
 Day 13 Trek to immediate camp (5,800m), halfway to advanced base camp
 Day 14 Trek to Everest advanced base camp (6,200m)
 Day 15 Rest and acclimatisation day
 Day 16 Trek to the base of the north col
 Day 17 -20 Climb up the north col (7000m) and descend to advanced base camp
 Day 21 Rest day and packing up ABC
 Day 22 Descend to base camp
 Day 23 Rest day and packing up base camp
 Day 24 Drive to Tingri
 Day 25 Drive to Kathmandu
 Day 26 Relaxing in Kathmandu
 Day 27 Fly back home
